These Terms and Conditions apply to all automatic driving lessons provided by Driving School Upton in Upton, Wallasey and Birkenhead. By booking lessons, you agree to the following terms.
1. Lesson Bookings
1.1 Lessons must be booked in advance by phone or email.
1.2 A lesson is only confirmed once agreed by both the instructor and the pupil.
1.3 Lessons are normally conducted in one or two-hour sessions unless otherwise agreed.
2. Payments
2.1 Payment must be made in advance of the lesson or at the start of the lesson unless otherwise agreed.
2.2 Block bookings must be paid in full before the first lesson of the block.
2.3 Block booking discounts (if offered) are non-transferable and non-refundable once lessons have started.
2.4 Driving School Upton reserves the right to change lesson prices at any time. Any price changes will not affect lessons already paid for.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
3.2 Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at the full lesson rate.
3.3 If the instructor cancels a lesson, an alternative appointment will be offered at no extra cost.
4. Pupil Responsibilities
4.1 Pupils must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence and present it before the first lesson.
4.2 Pupils must ensure they are medically fit to drive and meet DVLA requirements.
4.3 Pupils must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair driving ability.
4.4 Appropriate footwear must be worn (no high heels, sliders, or flip-flops).
Driving School Upton reserves the right to refuse a lesson if the pupil is unfit to drive. In such cases, the lesson fee may still be charged.
5. Driving Tests
5.1 The instructor reserves the right to withhold use of the tuition vehicle for a practical driving test if, in their professional opinion, the pupil is not test-ready.
5.2 Pupils are responsible for booking their own theory and practical tests unless otherwise agreed.
6. Gift Vouchers (If Applicable)
6.1 Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within the stated validity period.
6.2 Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Refunds for unused prepaid lessons may be granted at the discretion of Driving School Upton.
7.2 Any refund issued may be subject to deduction for lessons already taken at the standard hourly rate.
8. Liability
8.1 Driving School Upton will not be held responsible for any test cancellation fees or delays caused by DVSA or other third parties.
8.2 While every effort is made to ensure punctuality, no liability will be accepted for traffic delays or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
9. Data Protection
9.1 Personal information will be stored securely and used only for the purpose of providing driving tuition.
9.2 Personal data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.
